Unified project knowledge

Give every team one place to work from.

Davinci keeps engineering data, documents, code, analyses and references together in one shared project environment. Knowledge stays connected instead of scattering across teams, tools, and file systems.

Grounded project investigation

Ask questions that require the whole project.

Davinci can search project data, read source material, inspect history, and run engineering tools before answering. Every useful finding returns with direct links to the work behind it.

Shared project history

Understand what changed, and preserve why.

Git-backed project history keeps engineering changes reviewable at both the project and individual-item level. Compare versions, inspect contributors, and retain the reasoning that led to the current state.

Connected model data

Put model data to work across Davinci.

Use model values and objects directly in code, equations, documents, tables, comments, and agent conversations. Every use stays connected to its source, so context travels with the data instead of becoming another disconnected copy.

Living engineering artifacts

Turn project knowledge into work people can use.

Build documents, presentations, figures, and review material from information already connected to the project. Linked values reduce rework while familiar formats keep deliverables easy to share.

Knowledge that stays useful

Keep context close to every decision.

Find what matters, resume prior work, coordinate with teammates, and carry trusted knowledge from one project into the next.

Grounded project investigation

Move from a project question to an engineering answer.

Davinci investigates before it answers. Agents can search project names, documentation, code, tags, references, and history, then open the objects and source material most relevant to the question.

Project tools turn knowledge into action. When an answer depends on a calculation or current project state, the agent can run enabled analyses, inspect the result, and update supported project information.

Direct links keep conclusions reviewable. Object anchors, source references, tool activity, and durable conversation history make it clear where an answer came from and how to continue the work.

Unified project knowledge

Keep the project together without flattening the work.

Davinci gives the project one shared environment. Engineering data, documents, code, analyses, tables, source material, comments, and agent conversations remain available through the same workspace instead of being divided among disconnected tools and team folders.

Each kind of knowledge keeps the interface it needs. Engineers can edit code, inspect structured data, read source files, review documents, and follow history without reducing everything to generic attachments.

Connected knowledge is useful to both people and agents. Teams can follow direct links between related work, while Davinci agents can search the same project context and use it when investigating questions or completing engineering tasks.

Shared project history

Preserve the path to every engineering decision.

Project data participates in Git-based version control. Review uncommitted changes, write a meaningful commit message, inspect the commit graph, and compare current work with prior project states.

History remains useful at the item level. Open a particular value, table, document, or code object to see how it changed and which commit introduced the difference.

Conversations preserve additional reasoning. Durable agent sessions and project comments retain investigative context that a raw before-and-after comparison cannot explain by itself.

Connected model data

Carry model context into every part of the project.

The model is part of every workflow. Parts, attributes, requirements, analyses, and other engineering objects can appear naturally wherever teams write, calculate, review, or collaborate.

Model data remains useful beyond a properties view. Bring the same information into code, equations, documents, tables, comments, and agent conversations without manually recreating it for each task.

Connections preserve engineering context. Each use retains a clear path to its source in the model, making related work easier to navigate, understand, and review.

Object multiplicity

Reuse one object across many engineering contexts.

Linked extensions preserve a shared source instead of creating disconnected copies. Supported model objects can be reused multiple times in the same project while each instance retains its own place in the architecture.

Federation carries trusted content across project boundaries. Included packages can remain connected to the project and branch that maintain them, while extensions adapt shared objects to local engineering contexts.

Davinci keeps the relationship visible. Link indicators identify objects that inherit from a source, fork indicators show sources extended by other objects, and Revert to Base can remove local overrides when an instance should return to the shared definition.

Living engineering artifacts

Create deliverables from knowledge already in the project.

Build documents, tables, figures, and presentations in the same environment as the source work. Linked values and references reduce manual copying and make supporting evidence easier to inspect.

Agents can assemble repeatable outputs. Generate an initial report structure, summarize analysis results, add project figures, and refine the content with the same tools used for the rest of the project.

Export into familiar formats. Share PDF, document, presentation, spreadsheet, image, and other supported outputs with stakeholders who do not work directly in Davinci.

Project-wide discovery

Find matching knowledge across the project.

Search names, documentation, code, tags, and other supported fields from one panel. Case sensitivity, exact matching, and type filters narrow broad results without requiring specialized query syntax.

Result paths, line badges, previews, and object anchors make it easy to understand a match and jump directly to its source.

Durable investigations

Return to the work an agent already performed.

Agent conversations remain attached to the project. Search by title, pin important investigations, rename sessions, archive finished work, and reopen a conversation with its prior messages intact.

The Agent DAG can also visualize conversation relationships and the project objects touched along the way.

Team feedback

Keep review conversations attached to the work.

Comments connect team discussion to project context. Filter for mentions, your own comments, unresolved threads, or the complete conversation when preparing for a review.

Resolve a thread when the issue is addressed and reopen it if additional work reveals that the question remains.

Cross-project reuse

Build on trusted work without losing its origin.

Include reusable packages from other projects instead of copying their contents by hand. Shared materials, interfaces, analyses, and team methods can remain connected to the project that maintains them.

Status indicators show whether an include is current, has an upstream update, or needs attention, while the dependency view explains where shared packages are used.

Shared vocabulary

Organize project knowledge in terms the team understands.

Project tags group related objects without forcing everything into one folder structure. Use familiar terms for milestones, ownership, review state, heritage, or any classification the team needs.

Tag pages list the affected project objects, and the `#tag` search prefix provides a fast route back to the same knowledge.

Project health

Find information that is no longer trustworthy.

The Validation panel collects errors, unresolved information, stale values, and other project issues. Filters help teams focus on the class of problem that matters to the current task.

Because issues link back to their source, engineers can inspect the affected information and correct it before it propagates into analyses or deliverables.

Focused history

Follow one piece of engineering knowledge through time.

Object history narrows the project timeline to the item currently under review. Switch between its value and detailed changes, filter by date, and open the commit that produced a difference.

Specialized diff views make code, blocks, tables, and structured project data understandable without reading raw storage files.
