A New Home, Built for Teams

If you’ve been waiting for a cleaner way to manage your projects, share work with colleagues, or just find what you were working on last week — this release is for you.

Version 4.2 is live and our biggest quality-of-life release so far, replacing the old in-app home screen with an entirely new web experience, and introducing first-class team plans that let organizations collaborate on Davinci projects like never before.

Introducing your new Home

The old in-app home screen always felt like a stopgap. With 4.2, it’s gone. In its place is redesigned a full web experience purpose-built for navigating your work before you ever open the editor.

At the center of it is a redesigned Home page. Your project list lives in a persistent sidebar with a filter bar so you can quickly separate your work from projects others have invited you into. Above the fold, Resume Cards surface your most recent projects so you can jump right back in. Below that, a live activity feed keeps you up to speed on commits, new projects, and collaborator changes across your workspace.

Each project now has its own Project Page, a GitHub-style overview showing the README, collaborators, branches, and recent activity. A History tab gives you a filterable commit log with an activity graph. And if you own the project, a Settings tab lets you rename it, toggle visibility, manage collaborators, and other options.

User profiles and notifications

Every Davinci user now has a public profile at davinci-app.com/@your-handle. Profiles show your public projects and recent activity with a lightweight way for collaborators to find and follow your work. Paid users can verify a custom domain for their handle.

The notification system gets a full revamp too. A bell icon in the top bar shows a badge count and opens a quick-view dropdown where you can accept or decline project invitations without leaving the current page. The full Notifications page gives you your complete history to review.

Actionable notifications, like invitations, stay visible until you respond. Informational ones are dismissed with a click, but remain in your history.

Team plans

This release also ships something we’ve been building toward for a while: Team plans. You can now create a team, invite members by email, and manage everything from a dedicated Team Hub with tabs for Overview, Members, Billing, and Settings.

Teams run on a shared credit pool with team-wide included usage and on-demand billing. Owners and admins can set per-member spending limits, see spend breakdowns by member with time-range filtering, and let members draw on personal trial credits while on a team plan.
